The right to pay information

Article 7: a worker can request their pay level and average pay levels, by sex, for the same work or work of equal value. The reply is due within two months.
Article 7
What a worker can ask for
Article 7 gives workers the right to request and receive written information on their individual pay level and on the average pay levels, broken down by sex, for categories of workers doing the same work or work of equal value.
How often the right is mentioned
Employers inform workers annually that they have this right. The information is provided within a reasonable period and in any event within two months of the request. The Directive does not let an employer stop workers from disclosing their pay in order to enforce equal pay, and it requires Member States to prohibit contractual terms that do so.
Identifiable pay
Article 12 says personal data under the Directive are handled under the GDPR, and that where disclosure under Articles 7, 9 or 10 would reveal the pay of an identifiable worker, Member States may limit access to workers’ representatives or the equality body. This guide does not invent a minimum group size. A number, if one exists, is national law.
